Welcome to the Peninsula Cycle Club

Since 1992, Peninsula Cycle Club has supported the needs of local bicyclists throughout the South Bay. Weekly rides of various levels are hosted by the club. The Bike Palace supports our annual Hartt Memorial Port to Port ride from San Pedro to San Diego. Club members pay just $25.00 each year, which includes a 20% bike shop discount at The Bike Palace. Members may then buy jerseys, jackets, vests and shorts at member prices.

PenCC Dues Renewal for 2017

Print PDF

If you just received an email noting that your membership expires April 1, you can ignore that date. It expires soon, but not THAT soon! You have until May 1 to pay up. Thanks, and sorry for the confusion.

Yearly PenCC membership dues are payable on the first of the year. Existing members pay $25 to renew, while new members who joined between July 1 and September 30, 2016, pay a prorated fee of $12.50. New members who joined after October 1 pay nothing for their 2017 renewal (they're automatically renewed). Board members and sponsors get a free membership. A few of you inadvertently paid your dues TWICE during the year, in which case we renewed you for $0.00!

Select this link to determine how much you should pay to renew your membership.

We're encouraging PenCC members to pay their renewal fee online via PayPal using the appropriate "Buy Now" button below. Please note that we've added the PayPal processing fee to this transaction ($25 renewal = $26.03 with PayPal fee, $12.50 renewal = $13.16).

You don't need a PayPal account to renew your membership online, just select one of the buttons below, then select the "Pay with a debit or credit card, or PayPal Credit" link at the bottom-right of the page; you can then pay with your debit/credit card.

Use this button if your renewal fee is $25.00:

There are plenty of reasons to renew:

      • This is a vibrant club with over 200 members
      • You get invited to club events.
      • You get a 20% discount on all regularly priced services, parts, apparel and accessories at The Bike Palace (the discount alone can pay for the membership).
      • It’s a great group of people. Their joy of riding is infectious!
      • You can buy the magnificent club kit at near cost.
      • Participate in yearly group purchases of Specialized and Cannondale gear and bicycles at significant discount.
      • Get at least five other club members together for a ride, publicize it at least 10 days ahead of time on the club's Facebook page (so that everyone's invited), and the club will buy the club riders a sandwich and a beer after the ride!

If you've never been a member of the PenCC and wish to join, you should follow the instructions for new members on the club's Membership page.

If you'd prefer not to renew through PayPal, you can still mail or drop off a check payable to Bike Palace/PenCC:

PenCC Christmas Party a Huge Success

          Print PDF

We never expected the party to be THAT great. We knew that the venue was very nice (Brouwerij West in San Pedro) and we expected 30 guests. As the event got nearer we knew from the RSVPs that turnout was going to be a lot bigger. We finally ended up with about 70 attendees! New PenCC Event Director Seth True had thrown the party together in only a few days after he found out that the party was his responsibility, but that we weren't planning to have a Christmas Party this year. Wow! For short notice, it was incredible. Great beer, friends, food and fun! We're definitely looking into having more of these. See all the pictures here.
